Will you be able to branch and build gprbuild in epel10? It's useful to know that somebody wants Ada in EPEL, but it wouldn't hurt to be a little more polite when you're asking unpaid volunteers to do more unpaid work for you. If Rocky and/or Alma manage to get EL 10 rebuilds going, then I may some day make another effort to bring some Ada packages to EPEL. That's not a promise. Would you be interested in helping with the work, and perhaps becoming a comaintainer to look after the EPEL branches? In that case I would try to help you get up to speed. That is a promise. Anyway, no Ada packages are possible until gcc-epel has been bootstrapped. That's probably the hardest part. My apologies for the rudeness, those comments came from the EPEL package request docs. Sure, I'd be interested in co-maintaining. I've cc'd my personal email as this will be done on my own time. Thanks! Great that you want to contribute! I sent you a direct email. I'm dropping this note here in case you need to check a spam folder or something. |
