Description Dave Vasilevsky 2025-05-01 01:00:25 UTC
Description of problem:

On a brand new Fedora 42 install, `rpmconf -a` should return no results since the user hasn't edited any config files. But cups-browsed.conf shows with a diff, the "# added by post scriptlet" line added by the postinstall scriptlet.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 2.1.1-2.fc42

How reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Fedora 42
2. Install rpmconf
3. Run `rpmconf -a`

Actual results: cups-browsed.conf is identified as changed

Expected results: nothing should be identified as changed

Additional info:

A possible resolution is to grep for 'BrowseRemoteProtocols none' before modifying the file. If that is present, it should not be necessary to change anything.
