Description Ron Yorston 2025-05-10 07:30:15 UTC
Since 26th April plymouthd has been crashing with a SIGSEGV. Until today the boot would continue but today it just got stuck. I had to disable graphical boot to get a working system.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot Fedora 42.

Actual Results:
plymouthd crashed and the boot was unable to proceed.

Expected Results:
A clean boot.

Thank you for your bugreport I think that I know what is going on and I hope I'll be able to provide a fix soon.

This is also being tracked in bug 2368186, I'm marking this bug as a duplicate of that bug.
