Hi, we'd like to build the rr package for EPEL 10 but it includes capnproto as a dependency which is currently unavailable on EPEL 10. If possible please build capnproto on EPEL 10. Thanks.

+1 on this as I'd like to have rr in my toolbox :)

Note: I've tried to mockbuild on epel10 the rawhide of capnproto and works out of the box, so probably the effort is minimal. And if I can be of help would be glad to do it if you can share commit rights on the package (FAS: fedepell)

I'd like to update to v1.2.x first before branching for EPEL 10.

Thanks for the feedback Neal. For me in principle is fine, also because current version is from ~2 years ago. For EPEL being new would be better to go directly to 1.2.x indeed. Not sure how breaking the changes are for Fedora. rr doesn't seem to have special version requirements for capnproto.

There were no breaking source changes, I've shipped capnproto 1.2.0 into Rawhide: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2025-60c8baeee2

However, apparently it's now a RHEL package, so I'm closing this.

I would appreciate it if someone working on capnproto for RHEL would restore attribution for my packaging work, since it looks like it was all stripped in their packaging. :(
