The `finger` utility is not currently available in EPEL10, though it exists in Fedora. Some users and organizations still rely on `finger` for user presence and status checks in legacy or educational environments. This package has been rebuilt and tested for AlmaLinux 10, based on the Fedora source RPM. Spec and SRPM are available at: https://github.com/redadmin-k/finger-almalinux10-rpm Please consider this for inclusion into EPEL10. Maintainer: Akiyoshi Kurita (redadmin-k) [fedora-review-service-build] There are no known active CVEs related to the `finger` utility as of June 2025. While no longer widely used, `finger` remains helpful in some legacy or controlled environments, especially in academic institutions. This rebuild for AlmaLinux 10 has been tested internally and performs as expected. I am willing to maintain the package within EPEL. Package reviews are not the correct way to request Fedora packages be added to EPEL. You've already been provided instructions for how to do this properly in several other locations. Please take the time to read those instructions. |
