Description adam winberg 2025-06-23 06:41:56 UTC
Please build pyproj for EPEL10

Comment 1 adam winberg 2025-11-04 11:38:35 UTC
Is this possible to build for EPEL10 or are there any blockers?

Comment 2 adam winberg 2026-09-10 05:36:30 UTC
I would really appreciate if this could be built. This is also a blocker for 'python3-basemap'

Comment 3 Gwyn Ciesla 2026-09-14 17:47:32 UTC
This will need Cython > 3.1 to buil built for EL-10 as well, please file a bug for that and have it block this bug.

Not sure I understand you correctly, but python3-cython is provided by RHEL CodeReady, so I can't really file a bugzilla bug to have it block this one. And I don't think Red Hat will bump the version of it just because an EPEL build needs it? So that may be a problem.

Comment 5 Gwyn Ciesla 2026-09-15 13:08:40 UTC
They almost certainly won't. In that case, the pyproj maintainer could investigate building an older pyproj for EL-10. Hopefully one old enough to use CRB's Cython but also satisfy python-basemap.
