A flaw was found in hdf5. The `H5O__fsinfo_encode` function in `H5Ofsinfo.c` contains a heap-based buffer overflow resulting from improper bounds checking during data encoding. This flaw allows a local attacker to trigger this overflow via a crafted file. The manipulation can lead to a denial of service.
