Description Hans de Goede 2025-07-02 07:41:50 UTC
On a Dell Latitude E6430 with the internal panel driven by the integrated i915 GPU and an external monitor connected to the HDMI output which comes from the discrete Nvidia GPU, one of the 2 displays will not show the "US" keymap icon.

And when toggling capslock on, the capslock on icon is also only shown on the monitor which correctly has the "US" keymap icon.

Reproducible: Always

This should be fixed by this upstream merge-request:

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/plymouth/plymouth/-/merge_requests/356

I'm working on preparing a plymouth update addressing several issues including this one.
