A flaw was found in HDF5. The `H5FS__sinfo_serialize_node_cb` function in `src/H5FScache.c` contains a heap-based buffer overflow triggered by manipulation, requiring local access. This overflow occurs during the serialization of file system information nodes. This vulnerability allows a local attacker to cause an application-level denial of service.
