%py3_install expands to python setup.py install. This has been a deprecated command for 5 years and will likely stop working in Fedora 45.



Please migrate to %pyproject_buildrequires + %pyproject_wheel + %pyproject_install macros instead.

Thanks for your report and sorry for my late response. 

Unfortunately upstream is stalled since several years. Although, Patches welcome.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 45 development cycle.
Changing version to 45.
