Description Pekka Savola 2001-01-11 12:20:46 UTC
ipv6 utilities in iputils (ping6, traceroute6, tracepath6?) don't have a
suid bit set. So, they can't be used except for root.

This is probably a good course as it is; not that many people are using
IPv6.

However, the optimal solution IMO would be to create an iputils-ipv6
subpackage,
which wouldn't be installed by default, which would include suid-bit
versions
of these programs. This package should still Require: standard iputils.

Can't add a subpackage right now, right after 7.1.
