Description Fedora Release Engineering 2025-07-31 09:32:53 UTC
os-autoinst failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f43

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=135225228

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_43_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix os-autoinst at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
os-autoinst will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 44,
os-autoinst will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 4 Adam Williamson (Red Hat non-Fedora) 2025-07-31 19:52:49 UTC
I think this was just a blip, but it's now very definitely FTBFS because of the gdal 3.11.3 bump. vtk failed to rebuild because of the ppc64le illegal instruction problem; opencv requires vtk, and os-autoinst buildrequires opencv.

Fortunately it looks like the ppc64le thing is cleared up now, so I'll try rebuilding the chain.
