Description Miro Hrončok 2025-08-15 20:24:33 UTC
Dear package maintainer,

Due to reasons described in https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/XO5QGOXBWHFG7AOGDQBG23AQDS2MDTWI/ a rebuild of python-alembic is needed in Fedora 43.

During the mass rebuild, it was determined that rawhide and f43 branches differ, hence I did not know if I could safely merge rawhide into f43 or if the f43 branch needs a diverging bump.

Please, determine this yourself and rebuild the package in Fedora 43, ideally before the Fedora 43 Beta freeze (2025-08-26).

Thank you. Let me know if you need help.

Comment 1 Miro Hrončok 2025-08-26 11:08:43 UTC
Hello. This is a bulk comment.

This package still needs to be rebuilt and/or shipped with Python 3.14.0rc2+ bytecode in Fedora 43.

The Beta Freeze of Fedora 43 is scheduled to start today. Please prioritize this bugzilla accordingly.

Thanks.

There's only one commit not on f43 branch and it's a harmless ELN one, so I'm just going to merge it back and build it.

Comment 3 Miro Hrončok 2025-09-03 22:32:21 UTC
Yeah, I did not analyze the commits. I designed the rebuild to abort in that case (for caution). Thanks.
