You can find `python3-colorama` in AppStream repo. It was retired from EPEL to be included in the main repos in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2355780 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 2355780 *** Then... why does the koji build fail? https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=136504603 root.log: ... DEBUG util.py:459: No matching package to install: 'python3dist(colorama)' ... (In reply to Dominik 'Rathann' Mierzejewski from comment #2) > Then... why does the koji build fail? It turns out that python-colorama was added to RHEL to support awscli2, which is only shipped on x86_64 and aarch64. Apparently content resolution is per-architecture, and therefore python3-colorama is also shipped only on x86_64 and aarch64. This is of course terrible for EPEL packages that would like to depend on it, because it’s missing from RHEL on several architectures, but we can’t ship it in EPEL because it’s already in RHEL. I don’t know what, if anything, can be done. The problem has been known for several months. See https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-96267. Just adding a +1 here even if already closed. As python-colorama is a dependency of tox this may possibly affect quite some packages (it does in my case for example python-pyerfa) and the current RHEL delivery is of course a big PITA (even more so surprised this is known as Ben writes from a couple of months but nothing was done). |
