Budgie Desktop 10.9.3 is required for GNOME 49.x compatibility in Fedora 43. Without 10.9.3 (as well as a related Budgie Control Center 1.4.1), media-keys, some power configuration, and wacom support will be non-functional.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use 10.9.2 on Fedora Budgie nightly image
2. Attempt to change volume or brightness using media keys
3. Notice no change in expected values for volume or brightness
Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Something happens

Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 43-beta by Fedora user joshstrobl using the blocker tracking app because:

 Budgie Desktop 10.9.3 is required for GNOME 49.x compatibility in Fedora 43. Without 10.9.3 (as well as a related Budgie Control Center 1.4.1), media-keys, some power configuration, and wacom support will be non-functional.

FEDORA-2025-cf0c39e41d has been pushed to the Fedora 43 testing repository.
Soon you'll be able to install the update with the following command:
