I've an up-to-date rawhide virtual machine with

   webkitgtk6.0-2.49.90-1.fc44.x86_64
   epiphany-49~rc-1.fc44.x86_64

I when I open any page in Epiphany the content is empty, even though hovering mouse around sometimes reaches a rectangle where a link might be - not that I know a link should be there, because I cannot see it. 

I know it can be an upstream problem, but it's rawhide and the console says:

   libEGL warning: failed to get driver name for fd -1

   libEGL warning: MESA-LOADER: failed to retrieve device information

   libEGL warning: failed to get driver name for fd -1

   MESA: error: ZINK: failed to choose pdev
   libEGL warning: egl: failed to create dri2 screen

   Failed to create GBM buffer of size 1280x722: Permission denied

This used to work fine not so long ago. The machine is cumulatively updated, it's not a fresh rawhide install.

Similar virtual machine with

   epiphany-48.5-1.fc42.x86_64
   webkitgtk6.0-2.48.5-1.fc42.x86_64

does not suffer of this, epiphany only claims on start on its console this:

   libEGL warning: egl: failed to create dri2 screen
   libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to create screen
   libEGL warning: egl: failed to create dri2 screen
   libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to create screen
