On a Wayland session, using the touchscreen to interact with GNOME Shell’s QuickMenu sliders (volume or brightness) causes the entire system to become unresponsive. The mouse pointer can still move, but clicks, keyboard input, and touch input do not work. The only options are to force shutdown or close the lid to suspend.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1，Disable all GNOME Shell extensions and log in.
2，Open the QuickMenu by tapping the top-right corner with the touchscreen.
3，Tap the volume or brightness slider (no need to drag, just a simple tap).
4，The system immediately freezes: keyboard, mouse clicks, and touch input stop responding, although the mouse pointer can still move.
Actual Results:
The system becomes completely unresponsive，but system is still runing. Only a forced shutdown or lid-close suspension is possible.

Expected Results:
Tapping or dragging the sliders should adjust the volume or brightness normally without freezing the system.

Devices tested: Lenovo Chromebook with touchscreen, Surface Go 2; both show the same issue when using the touchscreen.

Proposed as a Blocker for 43-final by Fedora user jonha using the blocker tracking app because:

 All elements of the default panel (or equivalent) configuration in all release-blocking desktops must function correctly in typical use.

Touchscreen use is probably typical enough.

Just tested on my Chromebook with touchscreen.
Fixed. Works fine.
