Description Alexandre Oliva 2001-01-15 05:18:42 UTC
Xconfigurator auto-detects the video card of this poor old AlphaStation 400:

PCI Entry : DEC|DECchip 21030 [TGA]
X Server : XF86_TGA

but then, after I specify the monitor type (Acer 54e), it dies with a
segmentation fault.

Comment 1 Bruce Z. Lysik 2001-01-15 21:35:45 UTC
I get this same error when attempting to run Xconfigurator on my Alpha Personal
Workstation 600au.

Comment 2 Preston Brown 2001-01-29 21:12:45 UTC
can you possibly provide a backtrace of a Xconfigurator compiled with
debugging? I don't have access to this hardware.

Comment 3 Alexandre Oliva 2001-01-29 21:39:55 UTC
Is there any fast alpha build machine I could use to create such a
debugging-enabled Xconfigurator? This alpha machine I've got is dog slow :-(

Comment 4 Preston Brown 2001-01-31 16:14:24 UTC
machine where problem discovered is dead; re-open bug in the future if this can
be reproduced with additional information.
