The change you mention is present as a patch in the current RPM: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/libimobiledevice/blob/f43/f/1616.patch PRs have been filed to update the libimobiledevice stack, but the maintainers seem busy. I’ve built the latest version in a COPR though if you want to get it now https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/teuf/libimobiledevice/ FEDORA-2026-f272a715b0 (ideviceinstaller-1.2.0-1.fc44, idevicerestore-1.0.0^20260216git405fcd1-1.fc44, and 9 more) has been submitted as an update to Fedora 44. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-f272a715b0 FEDORA-2026-f272a715b0 has been pushed to the Fedora 44 testing repository. Soon you'll be able to install the update with the following command: `sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2026-f272a715b0` You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-f272a715b0 See also https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for more information on how to test updates.
