Boot Fedora-Workstation-Live-43-1.4.x86_64.iso, on Welcome page click "change system keyboard layout", and add "Chinese(Intelligent pinyin)" Input source, come back to Welcome page, you will find the "The live system has layout 'libpinyin' which can't be used for installation." error message is printed, and the "Next" button is gray.

Reproducible: Always

Lili, in gnome-control-center I see the following Chinese keyboard layouts:

Chinese (Intelligent Pinyin)
Chinese
Hanyu Pinyin Letters (with AltGr dead keys)

Only the first one is rejected by Anaconda, the other two are accepted. Is "Chinese (Intelligent Pinyin)" a layout that is essential for (some) Chinese users to perform the installation, or can the other two be used as well? (Bear in mind that a different layout, including Chinese (Intelligent Pinyin) can be set up in gnome-initial-setup after the installation is over -- I'm asking just about the installation phase). I'm trying to understand if the current Anaconda limitation is something that would seriously affect some of our users. Thanks.

Kamil,

> Is "Chinese (Intelligent Pinyin)" a layout that is essential for (some) Chinese users to perform the installation

np, or I would propose this bug as a blocker already;)

yeah, I know

I just consider this as a good-to-have feature:)
