Based on info in issue https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/4394 , it is already fixed in GNOME Shell v49 and the fix was also backported to GNOME Shell v48.7: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/commit/2190d0f9dbb23a66b9530590cc8e9ce1e440ee4f

I did not try the v48.7 yet to test whether it was fixed.
