Description of problem:
I reproduced https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2411879#c0 by entering the text into the shell. I had line numbers enabled, and the text overflowed both them (which rendered as the wrong numbers) and the QScrollBar. Unlimited scrollback was enabled.

Switching from the current virtual desktop to another one caused the crash.  There was a script running in konsole generating lots of progress output.

Very similar situation for me, only I was running dnf on a remote system over ssh, and with screen running on the remote system. I had four crashes in succession (and the dnf session is still running, I am not excluding further crashes...)

The window was in a different virtual desktop, so completely unattended and I do not know any details on exactly what was happening at the time. I have had several other cases of konsole crashing the last couple of days (weeks?).

And just as of writing this, a fifth and a sixth crash occurred:
