Description Daniel Rusek 2025-11-17 13:44:45 UTC
The AppStream metadata of RetroArch are broken in both F43 and Rawhide, causing the app to not show in GNOME Software or KDE Discover.

There are two problems:

1. There seems to be a "<launchable type="desktop-id">retroarch.desktop</launchable>" tag in the appdata.xml file, however the desktop file is renamed in the spec file to a rDNS format. The launchable tag should be changed to reflect this.

2. The "%global uuid com.libretro.RetroArch" variable seems to have an incorrect rDNS name and it probably should be changed to "org.libretro.RetroArch".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use latest, fully updated F43 Workstation system.
2. Open the Software app.
3. Search for "retroarch".

Actual Results:
Only the Flathub result is found.

Expected Results:
Both the RPM and the Flathub results are found.
