the latest SDL3 release has important fixes  for controllers.  the most important probably are:

1. Wireless Xbox 360 controller d-pad broken on Linux 6.17+
   https://github.com/libsdl-org/SDL/issues/14324

2. Steam Controller back buttons swapped
   https://github.com/libsdl-org/SDL/issues/14380

Steps to Reproduce:
1.connect xbox 360 bluetooth controller to a system running  kernel 6.17.x

Actual Results:
d-pad is mapped incorrectly
