Description of problem:
Need to prevent percpu IRQs from being triggered when CPUs are offlined.  Also 
remove some extraneous printks and rename variables.

cset#13851 fixes the issue.

Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release, and has moved to bugzilla 
status POST.

confirmed the fix is in the -50.el5 kernel.
