Description Ilpo Nyyssonen 2007-06-03 19:32:15 UTC
Description of problem:

With Bug 202476 causing problems in Fedora Core 6, I upgraded today to Fedora 7
with a hope that it would be better.

The resolution looks correct (1280x768), but there is a black bar in the right
side of the screen cutting the visible area to 1024x768.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

xorg-x11-drv-i810-2.0.0-3.fc7

Additional info:

This is Lifebook P7010. The screen resolution is 1280x768.

Xorg.0.log #2

It seems that it gets the LVDS panel size wrong.

xrandr -q says this:

Attaching new Xorg.0.log that has ModeDebug on.

Any documentation about configuring RandR?

This sound like the same thing:

Comment 5 Ilpo Nyyssonen 2007-06-04 16:08:49 UTC
I take that comment #4 back, it doesn't sound exactly the same thing.

Comment 6 Ilpo Nyyssonen 2007-06-04 17:01:11 UTC
OK, I checked out latest xf86-video-intel git repository, compiled it (commit
0984c1fc0963f1ebab31f5b8fce5ad4c387fbd2c), replaced the original intel_drv.so
with the compiled one and now it works ok.

Comment 7 Adam Jackson 2007-06-11 21:30:35 UTC
Can you try the intel driver in xorg-x11-drv-i810 2.0.0-4 in rawhide?

http://koji.fedoraproject.org/packages/xorg-x11-drv-i810/2.0.0/4.fc8/i386/xorg-x11-drv-i810-2.0.0-4.fc8.i386.rpm

If this works I'll submit it as an update to F-7.

Comment 8 Ilpo Nyyssonen 2007-06-12 14:11:25 UTC
Yes, looks OK.
