Description leonardcastine75 2026-01-08 14:19:43 UTC
When using Intel-undervolt to apply an undervolt to my laptop, the undervolt is removed upon suspend and waking when using suspend-then-hibernate. This happened every time unless the Intel-undervolt.service file is edited as suggested in the linked pull request. This can be verified by runnning ‘sudo intel-undervolt read’ before and after suspending-then-hibernating and waking. Before the under volt is applied, and after the setting is reset.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Enable hibernate
2.Enable suspend-then-hibernate
3. Apply undervolt using Intel-undervolt.
4. Check undervolt is applied using ‘sudo intel-undervolt read’
4. Enter suspend then hibernate
5. Wake
6. Check undervolt is gone ‘sudo intel-undervolt read’
Actual Results:
Undervolt is reset after wake from suspend-then-hibernate

Expected Results:
Undervolt should be reapplied upon every wake from suspend-them-hibernate
