Description andykimpe 2026-02-03 19:39:41 UTC
Please, the Wine version present on Epel 9

is version 8.0, a version that is far too old.

And on Epel 10, the package is completely missing.

Would it be possible to update it on Epel 9?

Add Epel 10 and ensure that the Wine version is kept up to date

on Epel at least once every 6 months.

For the Wine project, it is very important that the package be kept up to date regularly.

Without it, recent Windows programs cannot function.

For example, if you want to install a Windows program that requires .NET Framework 10, it is completely impossible on Wine 8.

You need at least Wine version 10.4 for that.

Furthermore, in the Rawhide spec file,

you have already included the conditional statement for Epel,

but you haven't published it in Epel.

This is a large program with significant resources. Please help, thank you.

Okay, that's a double error. Please explain why you still haven't resolved this issue.
