Description Tobias Vogel 2007-06-11 09:41:45 UTC
Description of problem:

The Computer (Dell Inspiron 1501) sometimes randomly crashes when loading udev
with a kernelpanic on the ndiswrapper-module. I tried several
ndiswrapper-versions, also the previous with fc6 working one.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

kernel 2.6.21-1.3194.fc7 / ndiswrapper 1.39 - 1.46

How reproducible:

Install the kernelmodule ndiswrapper via the normal procedure.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. compiling ndiswrapper-module from its source (ndiswrapper.sf.net) with "make"
2. install the module with "make install" as root
3. install the windows-wlan-driver
4. reboot

Actual results:

I'm sorry, but ndiswrapper is an unsupportable solution. Please take-up this
problem with the ndiswrapper team.
