Description Adam Williamson (Red Hat non-Fedora) 2026-02-04 18:20:02 UTC
GNOME Maps has an 'export' feature which lets you export a snapshot of the currently-displayed map as an image file. In Fedora Rawhide, up to Fedora-Rawhide-20260122.n.0 , when you clicked the Export button, it opened a file chooser with the ~/Pictures directory pre-selected - https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/4178927#step/export/5 . From Fedora-Rawhide-20260123.n.0 onwards, it opens a file chooser with just the home directory pre-selected - https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/4223878#step/export/5 .

gnome-maps itself didn't change, neither did gtk, so I'm figuring it uses the portal and it's the xdg-desktop-portal update that broke this. It does depend on libportal.
