Description Pablo Rodríguez 2026-02-10 17:07:26 UTC
As described in https://github.com/transmission/transmission/issues/7753, transmission doesn't open after clicking Magnet link in Firefox (apparmor dbus method call denied)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In Firefox, copy magnet:?xt=urn:btih:8e3f4283d1c8360d2f18544a8b166813086675a1&dn=archlinux-2026.02.01-x86_64.iso as url and click to go.
2. This will open transmission, but it doesn’t add the requested download.
Actual Results:
Only transmission-4.1.0 is opened, but no magnet request is added.

Expected Results:
The file from the magnet link should be added for download.

Additional Information:
As per https://github.com/transmission/transmission/issues/7753#issuecomment-3875184349, the main developer thinks this is a packaging issue (because of the call denial) and asks for comments if packagers need help.
