Description lpavan 2026-02-13 10:22:14 UTC
Upon successful installation of Fedora 44, the Anaconda installer’s primary call-to-action is "Exit to live desktop". This is counter-intuitive for the vast majority of users who, at this stage, intend to reboot and begin using their newly installed system. The UI should prioritize a "Restart" or "Reboot" action to streamline the transition from installation to usage.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot into Fedora Workstation Live ISO
2. Complete the installation process

Actual Results:
The final screen displays a large green checkmark with the text "Successfully installed." However, the only primary button provided is "Exit to live desktop". Users must manually navigate to the system menu in the top right corner of the GNOME shell to reboot the machine.

See attached "anaconda-install-complete.png"

Expected Results:
The installer should provide a clear, primary action button to "Restart System" (or similar). While keeping "Exit to live desktop" as a secondary option is acceptable for users who need to save logs or perform final checks, it should not be the sole or primary focus.

Additional Information:
For comparison, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS installer offers two choices at the end of installation:

- Restart now (Primary/Highlighted action)
- Continue testing (Secondary action)
