Description Karolina Surma 2026-02-16 11:36:48 UTC
[heads up] python-hypothesis will fail to build with Sphinx 9+ which is going to be shipped in Fedora 45.

Extension error (hoverxref.extension)!

Traceback
=========

      File "/usr/lib/python3.14/site-packages/sphinx/events.py", line 452, in emit
        raise ExtensionError(
        ...<3 lines>...
        ) from exc
    sphinx.errors.ExtensionError: Handler <function deprecated_configs_warning at 0x7f84e72c83b0> for event 'config-inited' threw an exception (exception: cannot unpack non-iterable _Opt object)

Possible solution: this comes from hoverxref.extention which is archived upstream and no fixes can be expected. Newer versions of hypothesis don't use it anymore. Updating to at least 6.134.0 will fix this.

Thank you for working on this!

Resolved by updating python-hypothesis in Rawhide.
