Some parts of freetype.spec are very outdated. For example,

1. # Convert FTL.txt and example3.cpp to UTF-8
This has been fixed many years ago.

2. Please add ttdebug and remove "additional" ftdemos.
The "additional" demos are not worth much, unmaintained, and outdated. It makes sense to limit yourself to 12 programs with man pages.

I am attaching a patch which should help.
