COSMIC 1.0.8 has many improvements for the COSMIC desktop -- COSMIC is still in the phase where new updates fix a lot of bugs and improve things.

Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 44-beta by Fedora user ryanabx using the blocker tracking app because:

 COSMIC 1.0.8 provides a lot of bug fixes and improvements to the desktop, that I would like to be included in Fedora 44 images.

I can confirm that Cosmic 1.0.8 is in the repositories and it generally works all right, although I have not dived into it too closely. On the RC 1.2, however, there is still version 1.0.6.
I am veryfing as functional.
