reassigning to installer .. anaconda Is the media writable? What does dmesg say about the drive? Created attachment 157912 [details]
Output of dmesg
The media is not writable under Linux, but is writable under OS/2. The drive is recognized as sdb, but the media is listed as 512 Bytes and unallocated. During startup, "starting udev" seems slow. At this time, IDE 0 (both master and slave) are empty, IDE 1 has DVD recorder on master and ZIP 250 on slave. SATA 1 has WD 250 GiB and is the boot drive. Dmesg output is attached. New information. Since last posting, several updates have been applied and the Zip 250 is recognized properly with the Zip 100 disk installed. The media was formatted with pure DOS. It may be a quirk of my motherboard, but the Zip 250 had to be set as not installed in BIOS in order to boot up the system. The media can then be inserted and used properly.
