Comment 1 Ben Beasley 2026-04-06 12:07:54 UTC
While https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-34544 only documents the issue as existing in OpenEXR 3.4.0-3.4.7, and as described in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2454236#c1, the bundled OpenEXR appears to be basically 3.2.0, I don’t see any reason the issue wouldn’t apply to older versions. The fix is small and self-contained, and it was easy to backport it. I suggested this upstream in https://github.com/PixarAnimationStudios/OpenUSD/pull/4028, and I’ll apply that PR downstream as well, at least in F44 and Rawhide, and possibly in F42/F43 if it’s trivial to do so.
