After updating gdk-pixbuf2 from the previous version to 2.44.6-1.fc43 today (2026-04-21), the SVG pixbuf loader stopped working. GTK3 applications (e.g. GNOME Commander) show only white/blank icons instead of MIME type icons.
The loaders directory is empty:
ls /usr/lib64/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/ returns nothing
Running GNOME Commander from terminal shows:
Gtk-WARNING: Could not load a pixbuf from icon theme. This may indicate that pixbuf loaders or the mime database could not be found.
Downgrading gdk-pixbuf2 to the previous version resolves the issue.
librsvg2-2.61.0-5.fc43.x86_64 is installed but does not ship libpixbufloader-svg.so. The separate rsvg-pixbuf-loader package does not exist for fc43.

Per discussion in bug 2452248, 2.44.6 should not have been pushed to a stable Fedora release.

I guess it requires some newer glycin or something, which is not available for f43. I think the 2.44.6 does use glycin for all those formats, including svg, and the glycin loader in "builtin", not a module.

When I downgrade to the gdk-pixbuf2 2.44.5 it still does not show the "copy file path" icon on the toolbar, other icons are shown fine. Only when I downgrade to 2.44.4 it shows the icon on that toolbar. I'm reverting the package back to the 2.44.4 version.
