FEDORA-2026-ce402e1f82 (insight-18.0.50.20260306-3.fc42) has been submitted as an update to Fedora 42. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-ce402e1f82 Info: all insight*fc42 releases, are disfunctional due to the tcl/tk issues of missing dependencies itcl and itk 3.3 after downgrading the packages insight, itcl and itk to latest fc41, they worked again. I have to assume, noone started the builds for testing in fc42 ;) > Info: all insight*fc42 releases, are disfunctional due to the tcl/tk issues of missing dependencies itcl and itk 3.3 3.3 is only the minimum version required, thus any version superior would be OK. Unfortunately the itcl/itk/iwidgets maintainer did the porting to tcl 9 only for itcl, making the whole chain fail. I left PRs for itk and iwidgets a long time ago, but after a ping, the maintainer answered by a promise but no action. I don't know what to do. Maybe a provenpackager can handle the PRs, but I did not find a procedure to request such action. For now, I keep the insight package building OK. It runs here with homemade substitutes to deficient packages, but I'm aware insight is not publicly operational in Fedora because of the above dependencies. See https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/itk/pull-request/1 and https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/iwidgets/pull-request/1 Please be sure this situation upsets me too for a long time now. Thanks for your remark. FEDORA-2026-e0f5e87dd6 has been pushed to the Fedora 43 testing repository.
