A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's mpu3050 gyro driver. This vulnerability, a resource leak, occurs when the interrupt handler is configured but not correctly released if the iio_trigger_register() function fails. This could allow a local user to cause system instability or a denial of service (DoS) due to the accumulation of unreleased resources.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-05-01 15:09:27 UTC
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

iio: gyro: mpu3050: Fix irq resource leak

The interrupt handler is setup but only a few lines down if
iio_trigger_register() fails the function returns without properly
releasing the handler.

Add cleanup goto to resolve resource leak.
