A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's `net/mana` network driver. An error in the `mana_gd_setup()` function's cleanup process could result in a use-after-free vulnerability. This occurs because the `service_wq` workqueue pointer is not correctly nulled after destruction during setup errors, which could allow an attacker to potentially cause a system crash (denial of service) or execute arbitrary code.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-05-08 15:07:32 UTC
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

net/mana: Null service_wq on setup error to prevent double destroy

In mana_gd_setup() error path, set gc->service_wq to NULL after
destroy_workqueue() to match the cleanup in mana_gd_cleanup().
This prevents a use-after-free if the workqueue pointer is checked
after a failed setup.
