upstream patch http://marc.info/?l=linux-acpi&m=118076135508748&w=2 Just checked the back port patch is in kernel-2.6.18-37.el5.src.rpm. Luming, In regards to comment #1, I do not see that code in the kernel source, nor do I see the patch in the kernel.src.rpm. Also, in the future, only the maintainers or managers should put bugzillas into MODIFIED state. As we have to do the accounting for it. Putting back into ASSIGNED state until we can verify what patch fixed this issue. I just posted the patch. This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed products. This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update release. in 2.6.18-68.el5 You can download this test kernel from http://people.redhat.com/dzickus/el5 An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report.
