A flaw was found in Catalyst::Plugin::Authentication. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to conduct timing attacks by observing discrepancies in the time it takes to compare passwords or hashes. This could enable the attacker to guess the underlying hash or password, leading to unauthorized access or information disclosure.

Catalyst::Plugin::Authentication versions through 0.10024 for Perl  is susceptible to timing attacks.

These versions use Perl's built-in eq comparison. Discrepencies in timing could be used to guess the underlying hash or password.
