A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Bluetooth L2CAP (Logical Link Control and Adaptation Protocol) implementation. A missing null pointer guard in the `l2cap_sock_state_change_cb()` function can lead to a null pointer dereference. This vulnerability could allow an attacker to cause a system crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-05-26 17:03:49 UTC
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

Bluetooth: L2CAP: Fix null-ptr-deref in l2cap_sock_state_change_cb()

Add the same NULL guard already present in
l2cap_sock_resume_cb() and l2cap_sock_ready_cb().
