A flaw was found in pynetdicom. The `qrscp` application's C-STORE handler improperly sanitizes attacker-supplied Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) datasets. This allows a remote attacker to write files to arbitrary paths on the system, which could lead to arbitrary code execution or a denial of service.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-06-25 21:02:04 UTC
The qrscp application's C-STORE handler uses a specific instance from attacker-supplied DICOM datasets directly in os.path.join() without sanitization, allowing file writes to arbitrary paths.
