I wanted to demonstrate that the triage decision at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2420648#comment_text_17:~:text=duplicate%20of%20bug%202336491 was nonsensical, so I decided to reproduce the bug that it describes — invoking `qtdiag` causing a segmentation violation. However, after acquiring the relevant packages:

This replicates for all afore-listed instances of `/usr/libexec/gdb`, too, but not for `/usr/bin/abrt-server`, nor any previous entrants.

Expected Results:

Additional Information:
I originally intended to report this solely upstream, first, because of what https://forge.fedoraproject.org/workstation/tickets/issues/131#issuecomment-368137:~:text=There%20is%20significant%20value%20in%20having%20only%20bug%20reports%20that%20we%20actually%20plan%20to%20work%20on%20open%20in%20downstream%20Bugzilla%2E advises. However, I was unable to.

Unfortunately 17.2-1 contains a bug which causes most attempts to read large core files to crash.  This is (or will be) fixed in 17.2-2 once it is available.  You can download 17.2-2 directly from https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=3034524 if you want to give it a try.  If the GDB crash still reproduces with that version then do please reopen this ticket (or create a new one, whichever is easier for you).  Apologies for the 17.2-1 regression.
