A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Wi-Fi subsystem, specifically within the mt76 driver for MediaTek mt7996 devices. This vulnerability occurs because the `mt76_connac_get_eht_phy_cap` routine can return a NULL pointer, which is not properly checked before being dereferenced. An attacker could potentially exploit this to cause a system crash, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

wifi: mt76: mt7996: fix possible NULL-pointer deref in mt7996_mcu_sta_bfer_eht()

mt76_connac_get_eht_phy_cap routine can theoretically return NULL so
check cap pointer before dereferencing it.
