Problem still present in latest f7 Same situation in f8. According to bug 214946, it's by design. If the button is a toggle button, then the button label should also toggle to indicate a change in state. This is clearly a bug. This is clearly a bug...nobody in their right mind designs a user interface that allows a button label to do exactly the opposite of what it is labelled to do. It seems that the button indicates its state by changing its colour. However, it certainly isn't intuitive. This message is a reminder that Fedora 7 is nearing the end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 7. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '7'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 7's end of life. Given that it isn't clear, it is very confusing that you have to click "Enable Desktop Effects" to disable desktop effects. This message is a reminder that Fedora 8 is nearing its end of life.
