A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. A local attacker could trigger a null pointer dereference in the `is_vm_area_hugepages()` function. This occurs when `find_vm_area()` returns a NULL value, which is not properly handled before being dereferenced. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a kernel crash, resulting in a denial of service.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

vmalloc: fix NULL pointer dereference in is_vm_area_hugepages()

find_vm_area() can return NULL if the given address is not a valid vmalloc
area.  Check the return value before dereferencing it to avoid a kernel
crash.
