Description Mr Beedell, Roke Julian Lockhart 2026-08-23 13:03:17 UTC
Description of problem:
After `sudo dnf install boinc-manager` succeeded, I invoked `boincmgr`. Whilst operative, I invoked `systemctl enable --now boinc-client`, as https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/wiki/Installing-BOINC-on-Fedora/3ffc673bc4601433640c5b17996d3c5177e4a0ae#installation-on-fedora-37:~:text=sudo%20systemctl%20enable%20boinc%2Dclient,sudo%20systemctl%20start%20boinc%2Dclient advises.
SELinux is preventing crun from 'read' accesses on the fifo_file exec.fifo.

***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests **************************

If you believe that crun should be allowed read access on the exec.fifo fifo_file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# ausearch -c 'crun' --raw | audit2allow -M my-crun
# semodule -X 300 -i my-crun.pp
